This year on September 15, 2008, Myspace published the names of the corporate sponsors who might be a part of what could be termed the biggest discovery in online advertising or Internet marketing.

There are a few large companies such as Sony Pictures, Toyota and Mcdonalds that have been a part of the newest changes to Myspace music. The social networking website made it possible to build partnerships with numerous recording labels that include Warner Music, Sony BMG and Universal Music. Building these partnerships will let them present ads on their music website according to what the person is looking for. Users will be able to download their favorite music or players at a price they can afford or for free.

Jeff Berman, who is the head of Myspace Sales and Marketing says that this will be one of their greatest endeavors since Myspace was first launched. This will, hopefully, cause users to change the way they look for, use and experience music.

It is hard to believe that you can download these songs for free. These companies are sponsoring free music downloads because of a plan they have designed. For one year, Toyota will be sponsoring in Myspace, particularly on Toyota Tuesdays. This will be able to make suggestions on what types of music or songs for Myspace users. Sony will be adding skins of upcoming movies to the playlists of each user for one week. In addition, these ads will be displayed all over Myspace pages. There are millions of subscribers for Myspace. This can provide higher traffic and conversion rates for these companies.

If you are looking for the one of the most popular music download websites on the World Wide Web, you will probably find that it is iTunes. Lots of new artists depend upon the exposure that iTunes can give them for their new songs or albums. Using Myspace Music means that you have to pay for every download. You are provided with a new way of enjoying music and being able to save your favorite songs to a playlist, due to the low cost.

Itunes does not have the advantage of advertising revenue like Myspace has. Sponsors will enjoy advertising profits and help to give a boost to the struggling music industry.
